San Diego State University (SDSU) seeks an experienced, innovative, and dedicated recruitment and talent acquisition professional with ambition and leadership propensity to serve as the Talent Acquisition Manager. The Talent Acquisition Manager is a working manager who delivers results, both as an individual and team contributor. They will manage their portfolio of assignments and lead, support, and develop a team of three Talent Acquisition Analysts. The Talent Acquisition Manager will provide expert consultation and advice to a wide variety of appointing authorities on marketing and outreach, recruitment, equal employment opportunity and diversity, assessment, selection, and onboarding. The Talent Acquisition Manager will be a crucial contributor to developing recruitment-focused initiatives that promote the value of SDSU as an employer and community institution. The Talent Acquisition Manager will ensure SDSU attracts, hires, and retains highly qualified and dedicated employees who are engaged and aligned with their roles and the mission of the University.

This position is in the Management Personnel Plan (Administrator I) and earns management benefits including medical, dental, vision, $100,000 life insurance plan, and the CalPERS pension plan.
This is a full-time, benefits eligible, at will position. This position is designated exempt under FLSA and not eligible for overtime compensation.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Talent Acquisition team manages and executes approximately 400 recruitments per year in staff and management roles and is in the process of implementing a new recruiting solution, PageUp, that is planned for full deployment in Spring 2020. In conjunction with this implementation and as part of ongoing process improvement, the Talent Acquisition Manager will play a significant role in assessing business processes and activities and will recommend and implement changes for optimization of process efficiency and effectiveness.
The Talent Acquisition Manager works closely with the Classification and Compensation Manager and reports to the Associate Human Resources Director.
Undergraduate degree, five years of progressively responsible recruitment and talent acquisition experience, and two years of leadership experience.
