Responsible for providing human resource services in support of recruiting and retaining talent; administering compensation and benefit programs; nurturing a training and development environment; promoting a culture of employee engagement; and protecting the interests of Lebermuth and employees through compliance with governmental regulations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Manage the recruitment process for exempt and non-exempt employees; coordinating closely with hiring managers on position requirements, recruitment strategies and search timelines
Complete all pre-employment screening requirements with candidates, as per Company guidelines
Complete orientations with newly hired employees, ensuring accurate completion of required paperwork and a thorough introduction to Lebermuth
Assist with the development, delivery and record keeping of training programs, including but not limited to, training for safety and GMP procedures, professional development of Lebermuth employees and departmental cross training
Complete maintenance tasks in preparation for payroll processing; accurately process payroll in compliance with wage and hour laws
Complete functions necessary to ensure Lebermuth compliance with ACA regulations
Administer insurance and 401(k) plans by completing functions such as benefit orientations for new hires, assistance with open enrollment and qualifying events, and initiation of COBRA paperwork, when needed
Process FMLA and ADA requests; coordinate with managers and employees on the tracking of leave time and accommodation requests
Assist with the development of policies and procedures, including preparation of written documents and development of communication plans to employees
Coordinate with management on the implementation of programs and practices necessary to maintain a positive work environment and to promote a high level of employee morale and motivation
Assist managers with the Coaching for Commitment process and employee counseling documentation, as needed
Monitor the performance evaluation process to ensure evaluations are completed and submitted timely
Coordinate with Lebermuth departments on safety and health programs, including tracking and posting of OSHA-required data, filing of workers compensation claims and follow up on the claims, and administration of wellness programs
Conduct investigations and report findings to management, in instances of employee concerns or complaints
Respond to unemployment claims and represent Lebermuth at unemployment hearings, as needed
Support the ESCAPE Team with planning and executing team building and social events
Track stocks of office and breakroom supplies and place orders when necessary
Conduct clerical duties, including filing, answering phone calls, responding to emails and preparing documents
Establish and maintain positive relationships with management, employees and vendors; provide input as a member of project teams
Manage key Lebermuth vendors such as cleaning, document management and uniform services etc.
Provide quality service and professional communication when interacting with Lebermuth customers and vendors on behalf of Company
Demonstrate a high level of professionalism and credibility; maintain trust and support with Senior Management staff
Work on a variety of special projects, as assigned, and with various Lebermuth team members in order to achieve the desired results of individual projects
Keep work area neat and clean; maintain good housekeeping practices
Continually strive to promote a safe food culture, ensuring the production and shipment of safe quality food products
Other duties, as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities, but is responsible for the management of Lebermuth processes and may serve in a leadership role on project teams.

Education and/or Experience: Bachelors degree in human resources, business or a related field of study, and 2 to 4 years of work experience that requires broad, up-to-date knowledge of employment laws and practices; or equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
Language Skills: Effective communicator through listening, writing and speaking. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from both internal and external customers and vendors. Ability to read, analyze and interpret professional journals, technical procedures and governmental regulations. Articulate written skills for preparation of job postings, job descriptions, offer letters, counseling records, candidate and employee correspondence, handbook and policy updates, memos, OSHA programs etc.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to apply mathematical and statistical concepts to achieve desired results.
Reasoning Ability: Excellent analytical skills. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Adept at using logic and reasoning to identify solutions to problems.
Computer Skills: Intermediate to advanced word processing, spreadsheet and database skills in an MS Office environment. Ability to operate and utilize HRIS systems to complete assignments. Ability to learn and utilize new and changing systems.
Certificates/Licenses/Registrations: Valid drivers license and PHR certification.

Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to perfumes and airborne particles
Work environment is fast paced, high activity level, and responsive to regularly changing priorities based on business need and legal/regulatory changes
Noise level is usually moderate
Work schedule is generally 8-5pm, but may vary (to include evenings and/or weekends) to ensure business needs are met
