Performs paraprofessional/technical level administrative support to employees on human resources services and programs.

FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt

Working Conditions: May work shifts on days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
REQUIREMENTS
Education and Work Experience: Equivalent to two (2) years of college-level coursework and three (3) years of experience in human resources administration.

Licensing and Certifications: Must possess and maintain a valid Class C Driver's License at the time of appointment.

Background Investigation: Employment is contingent upon the results of a comprehensive background investigation, including qualifying education/experience verification, social security trace, criminal history records review, and driving history record checks.

• Demonstrated knowledge of human resources including state/federal employment law

• Demonstrated experience working with training coordination, administration and giving presentations

• Demonstrated experience with HRIS systems to include accurately entering data and report writing
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Physical ability to perform office and related work, including operating computers and office machinery; stamina to sit for extended periods of time; strength to lift and maneuver materials weighing up to 25 pounds; vision to read printed materials; and hearing and speech to communicate in person or over the telephone. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Provides paraprofessional support to the various disciplines of human resources, i.e. payroll, recruitment, training, employee relations, classification and compensation, benefits, etc. Provides technical assistance to employees on a variety of human resources related matters. Assists in conducting surveys of compensation, benefits, policies and practices; responds to requests for such information from other agencies. Organizes and maintains human resources files; ensures accuracy and completeness of confidential files and records; files and retrieves documents. Provides assistance in the coordination and implementation of a variety of employee development programs; coordinates the use of facilities and maintains training databases Processes transactions involving multiple steps and the application of varied guidelines and plan documents; determines eligibility and/or compliance. Operates a variety of office equipment, to include computers and associated software. Prepares, maintains and updates system data and produces custom and formatted reports; reviews data for accuracy and completeness. Compiles statistics and maintains records to comply with legal requirements; researches information from various sources, assembles for inclusion in periodic or special reports; interprets data, states conclusions and offers recommendations; uses software programs to display in graphic format. Provides information and assistance to internal and external customers as required. Other duties as assigned.
