Description

Required qualifications:
Candidates must have completed a Ph.D. degree by start date.

Preferred Qualifications:
Prior research experience in molecular biology and animal models preferred

About the Job

Responsibilities:
Develop and in vitro characterize recombinant viral vector-based vaccines
Evaluate immune responses and efficacy of vaccines in animal models
Mammalian cell and virus cultivations
Bacterial and viral gene cloning and manipulation
Lab animal studies and sample collections
Perform all phases of experimental investigations on an independent basis
Collaborate with other researchers
Routine oral/written reports to the Lab Directors/Principal Investigators about progress of major research projects
Provide guidance to laboratory staff including undergraduate students, graduate students and technicians
Prepare manuscripts and abstracts based on the research findings
Present research findings at laboratory meetings and appropriate scientific conferences
