JOB TITLE: Human Resource Assistant
REPORTS TO: Human Resource Manager
SUMMARY
Assists with company-wide day-to-day human resource operations. Provides functional guidance for human resources administrative support needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain employee HR/Payroll Database, new hire processing, new hire data entry, file setup and maintenance.Monitor employee data, field communication for missing info, field communication with codes for timesheet.Submit New Hire Report.Data entry and monitor background checks, forward results to HR Generalist and Manager for adjudication.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
One or more year's related experience and/or training preferredExperience within the Maritime industry preferredKnowledge of employment-related laws and regulations preferredAbility to communicate bilingually in English and Spanish preferred
WORKING CONDITIONS
Most work performed in office environment.Prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer.
