We're presenting an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Manager! This is a unique opportunity to lead the HR function at NBF and make a meaningful impact on culture, talent, and strategy. As the senior HR leader, you'll work closely with executive leadership, guide the HR team, and shape a people-first employee experience. With a blend of strategic influence and hands-on involvement, this role offers both challenge and opportunity in equal measure.
This role is based in Milwaukee, WI, with an in-office schedule of Tuesday through Thursday and remote flexibility on Monday and Friday as business needs allow.
Here's a General Overview of What You'll be Doing:
Leadership & Culture
Serve as a trusted advisor to NBF's President and executive team on all people mattersLead an HR team focused on payroll, benefits, compliance, recruiting, and other administrative dutiesChampion and model NBF's strong, people-first culture
Employee & Labor Relations
Provide guidance to managers and employees on employee relations issues, conflict resolution, and performance conversationsInvestigate concerns, ensure due process, and manage documentation appropriatelyMaintain HR policies and NBF's Employee Guidebook; drive policy awareness and consistency
Compensation & Total Rewards
Administer and analyze compensation programs, including benchmarking, salary structure, and merit increasesCollaborate with brokers and vendors to manage NBF's health, welfare, and retirement plans
Talent Acquisition & Retention
Lead high-level and executive search efforts in collaboration with external partnersOversee day-to-day recruiting strategy and operations through the Sr. TA SpecialistMonitor time-to-fill, sourcing channels, and DEI efforts in hiring
Compliance & Risk
Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and all government contractor reporting requirements, including AAP, EEO-1, VETS-4212Maintain accurate records and lead internal audits and reporting processes
Performance Management & Development
Facilitate the annual performance review, goal setting, and talent review processesCoach managers and leaders on feedback and development planningIdentify training needs and development opportunities
HR Strategy & Operations
Monitor HR metrics and provide reporting to leadershipUtilize Workday as HRIS; ensure data integrity and drive continuous improvement of HR operationsAct as liaison to TAKKT's HR leadership for alignment with shared service functions and broader people initiativesIncludes responsibility for facility operations, vendor management, office services, town halls, and events
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field5+ years of progressive HR experience, with some management / leadership experienceStrong understanding of employment law, benefits administration (including self-insured plans), and government contractor complianceExperience with Workday or similar HRIS systemsExcellent interpersonal, coaching, and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and work independentlyHR certification (SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR) preferred
