Are you a people person with a knack for organization and a passion for creating positive experiences? Join our dynamic team as a Human Resources (HR) Assistant! In this role, you'll be the friendly face at our front desk, welcoming visitors and assisting employees whenever our receptionist is away. You'll also play a vital role in supporting our HR department with exciting events, meticulous employee data management, and fostering a positive employee experience. This is an excellent ground floor opportunity for you to start your journey in HR!

What you will do in the position:

• Serves as back-up receptionist, covering lunch breaks, rest breaks and sick and vacation days.
• Sits onsite at our Carlsbad headquarters from Monday to Friday, offering direct support to employees.
• Maintains accurate and up-to-date employee records in the company Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS); ensuring confidentiality and precision.
• Works closely with Talent Acquisition in processing candidates through the HRIS.
• Multitasks and handles various responsibilities while maintaining professional composure.
• Maintains bulletin boards including electronic bulletin boards and anniversary boards.
• Provides administrative support to the HR team including special projects.
• Assists with company event preparations and coordination.
• Designs employee communication announcements and HR team PowerPoint presentations.

What you will need to succeed in this position:

• 1 year of Human Resources experience preferred
• High School Diploma - Required
• BA or BS (college graduate) - Preferred
• Technical School or Certificate - Preferred Human Resources
• A proactive and positive attitude.
• Basic knowledge of HR practices.
• Superior organizational skills, and an adherence to confidentiality and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to translate and present information appropriate to audience.
• Requires the ability to set up and maintain comprehensive and detailed records.
• Intermediate MS Office skills including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.

The posted pay range, $20.43/hr - $27.21/hr, is what we reasonably expect to pay for the role. This may vary depending on experience and other factors.
