SUMMARY
SHRM's paid internship program enables students to participate in valuable real-world work experience through various tailored assignments within their areas of interest and fields of study. Students will be tasked with different team-specific projects, and tasks, and participate in professional development projects and events to prepare them for their future careers. This role is responsible for providing creative and organizational support to SHRM's Exchange Visitor Program in different areas.
This is a paid internship starting at $20.00/Hour.
This is a 10-week summer internship from June 3, 2025 - August 7, 2025.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the creation and editing of training videos for program participants.Support the Exchange Visitor Program by responding to inquiries and preparing documentation.Help maintain and update health insurance records in accordance with compliance standards.Participate in general program operations reviews to identify areas for process improvement.Contribute to the rollout of a new J-1 Visa designation through marketing outreach coordination.Assist in generating and tracking leads for the new J-1 Visa program.
Education & Experience Requirements
Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in business, communications, international affairs, or other related fields0-3 years of relevant work experience

Physical Requirements
Must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily with reasonable accommodations.Work is generally done sitting, talking, hearing, and typing. Visual acuity to use a keyboard, prepare and analyze data and figures; transcribe, view a computer terminal; extensive reading.
Work environment
SHRM does operate under a hybrid work schedule and will require you to be in SHRM's headquarters in Alexandria, VA on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
