Coastal Pacific Food Distributors (CPFD) is currently seeking a Human Resources Coordinator in our Ontario, CA location. The positionsupports the daily operations of the Human Resources department. This role assists with recruitment, onboarding, employee record-keeping, and administrative tasks to ensure efficient and effective HR service delivery.

Compensation and Benefits:

Roles & Responsibilities:
Facilitate hiring activities for hourly positions, including job postings, resume screening, interview scheduling, pre-employment screenings, and candidate communication throughout the hiring process.Assist with onboarding by preparing new hire paperwork and coordinating new hire orientations.Support the administration of the companys leave programs, ensuring timely and accurate processing of leave requests and approvals.Maintain adequate stock and organization for the company store.Scan, index, and file HR documents to keep personnel records up to date and compliant.Assist employees with benefit enrollment and respond to general benefits-related inquiries.Serve as a backup for weekly timesheet reviews.Help with coordination of employee events, recognition programs, and training sessionsGenerate reports and compile HR-related data as requested.Provide support for various HR projects and organizational initiatives.Update labor law posters annually in accordance with legal requirements.Assist with department projects and general administrative tasks.Perform other related duties as assignedJob Requirements:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.Experience:
At least 12 years of experience in an administrative, HR, or customer service role.Skills and Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, including warehouse associates and supervisors.Strong interpersonal skills with a professional, team-oriented, and customer-focused demeanor.High attention to detail with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.Discretion and sound judgment when handling sensitive and confidential information.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); ability to quickly learn and navigate new software and systems. Ability to learn and navigate new software and systems quickly.Demonstrated ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities while supporting team goals.Proactive, with a willingness to support various HR projects and extended hours during peak periods.Professional appearance and demeanor.
