We're presenting an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Specialist. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced HR professional to oversee multi-state payroll processing, administer employee benefits, and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations. This role also supports employee relations, data management in Workday, and leads key HR initiatives including leave administration, compliance reporting, and recognition programs.
This role is based in Milwaukee, WI, with an in-office schedule of Tuesday through Thursday and remote flexibility on Monday and Friday as business needs allow.

Here's a General Overview of What You'll Be Doing:
Oversee and manage our multi-state bi-weekly payroll Manage and lead our benefits programs Assist employees with all payroll, benefit, and attendance related questionsAudit and process monthly benefit invoicesAssist with development of employee benefits strategy to ensure programs are market-competitive, cost-competitive, and aligned with company strategyAdminister and track FMLA, Disability, and other paid leavesProcess and maintain employee data in WorkdayEnsure accurate record-keeping and file management of employee personnel filesComply with government regulations and federal contractor requirements such as AAP, ACA, Vets4212, OSHA Logs, and labor law postings.Represent NBF as a brand and culture ambassadorOversee and lead our employee anniversary, birthday, and recognition programsReport on monthly KPI'sOversee building security and access software
What We're Looking For:
2-4 years of payroll experience Minimum of 1 year of total rewards/benefits experience Experience working within WorkdayStrong problem-solving skills and resourcefulness A high level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with all employeesThe ability to look beyond the task at hand to see peripheral requirements and make sure these are not overlooked Strong attention to detail and accuracyExcellent organization and follow up skillsA positive attitude and demeanor even in difficult circumstances Effective written and verbal communication skills It Would Also be Nice to Have:
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or a related fieldExperience managing a self-insured medical plan
